Recent Family POrtrait

Bellow is a recent family portrait in size 24x18, the portrait was commissioned as a gift for Rubens grandparents wedding anniversary. Peter wanted to be painted in fine detail on a slightly mottled background in order to give it that true portrait feel. I have including a close up of Rubens face. This is magnified by 4x to show the brush strokes and weave of the canvas that is always best seen around the hair line. I hope you enjoy the portrait to.
